Description

The LQL On-Call Facilities Technician participates in the weekly on-call rotation, serving one week at a time. On-call assignments typically occur every 4 to 8 weeks, depending on staffing availability and rotation schedules.

This position provides after-hours maintenance support for residents of Landis Place on King and Steeple View Lofts. During assigned on-call weeks, the technician is responsible for responding to emergency maintenance work orders that occur outside of normal business hours. Calls are limited to urgent situations requiring immediate attention to ensure resident safety, building operations, and property protection.

  • Assists with emergency electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC repairs, exterior building maintenance, and other emergency maintenance responsibilities as assigned.
  • Performs preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Stays alert to and assists with security issues.
  • Responds to fire alarms, investigates and carries out duties assigned in resetting alarms, and completes related documentation.
  • Reports repairs needing major parts or a subcontractor to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Participates in department on-call rotation, performs emergency repairs as-needed.
  • Assists with snow removal and other emergencies as needed.
  • Relates well with residents, clients, family members, staff and the community.
  • Demonstrates dependability, competence, accuracy and is observant.
  • Adheres to compliance policies regarding confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and resident and client rights.
  • Complies with regulatory agency standards and applicable policies and procedures.
  • Complies with safety and infection control protocols in all aspects of the job.
  • Demonstrates understanding of the Code of Conduct and abides by its guidelines in all aspects of the job.
  • Attends in-services and team meetings as required for role.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Position Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma/GED or demonstrated proficiency in reading and writing skills required
  • Maintains current valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
  • Prior experience in related role required.
  • Good verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Demonstrates a pleasant personality with flexibility and adaptability for frequent interruptions.
