Working Hours

Monday-Friday 3:00pm-11:00pm and work as needed.

Summary

General Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of critical tasks including troubleshooting and repair of multiple building/facilities items such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic tube system, hospital beds, and nurse call systems. The role ensures completion of assigned preventive maintenance tasks and coordinates specific craft activities with other Facilities Management team members.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • Protect and maintain facility areas, including patient rooms and common areas.
  • Perform general maintenance repairs and use equipment safely, following safety procedures and handling chemicals such as solvents and degreasers.
  • Troubleshoot and repair facilities equipment or systems by determining root causes of operating errors and using appropriate tools.
  • Log and update facility maintenance records: CMMS documentation, maintenance logs, manuals, drawings, and preventive maintenance logs.
  • Provide clear, detailed, and accurate information on work orders and preventive maintenance forms.
  • Complete maintenance tasks, facility preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
  • Coordinate repairs and work across departments and report status to involved parties.
  • Attend daily huddles with the team during the shift.
  • Report to supervisor daily on conditions related to general operations, safety, and day-to-day activities in the facility.
  • Hold a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred). Experience in building/facilities maintenance is preferred.
  • Experience with general maintenance repairs and familiarity with safety procedures and safe operation of building maintenance equipment.
Compensation

Job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi‑weekly.
