Food Services Manager
Location: FDA facility, Jefferson, AR
Employment Type: Full-time; contingent upon contract award
Pay: $52.00 per hour, plus $11.55 fringe benefit

Position SummaryManage food service support operations, sanitation, customer service, staffing coordination, inventory, equipment readiness, and compliance with health, safety, and contract requirements at the FDA facility.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily food service operations, staff assignments, service quality, sanitation, supplies, and customer‑facing support activities.
- Monitor food service areas, equipment, storage, cleaning practices, inventory, and service readiness.
- Coordinate with the customer, vendors, and facility support teams to resolve service issues and maintain a professional operation.
- Support compliance with food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and contract documentation requirements.
- Maintain records, reports, schedules, purchasing requests, and service documentation as required.
- Use safe work practices, proper tools, lockout/tagout procedures, personal protective equipment, and site‑specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs, reports, records, work order notes, material usage, or other documentation as required.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, customer representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and facility personnel.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in facilities operations, maintenance, utilities, construction, trades, administration, or a closely related field.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, technical instructions, safety procedures, and site rules.
- Strong reliability, professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail.
- Ability to pass required background check, drug screening, badging, security, or site access requirements.
- Valid driver's license may be required for positions that operate company or site vehicles.
- Experience managing food service, hospitality, institutional service operations, or a related support service environment is required or strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, customer service, scheduling, inventory control, and staff coordination is preferred.
- Serv Safe or comparable food safety certification is preferred.
- Experience in government, institutional, healthcare, research, or campus‑style food service environments is preferred.
- Experience working in federal, government, research, institutional, industrial, food service, or commercial facilities.
- Experience using CMMS, work order systems, safety programs, or formal maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑trade operations and maintenance team.
This position may require standing, walking, bending, reaching, inspecting food service areas, entering storage and kitchen areas, and occasionally lifting or carrying supplies. Specific requirements will depend on the final position assignment and worksite needs.
