- Clean assigned areas by vacuuming, mopping, waxing, buffing, and stripping floors; clean walls, windows, and other common areas.
- Perform meeting set‑ups and take‑downs by moving furniture, setting up chairs, and preparing rooms.
- Monitor assigned area by walking halls and grounds; pick up and dispose of trash.
- Dust fixtures in assigned area.
- Clean bathrooms by mopping floors, cleaning toilets, and wiping walls, mirrors, and sinks.
- Maintain consistent, regular attendance; arrive and leave work at scheduled times; respect time limits on breaks and lunch periods; follow district procedures for absence reporting.
- Recognize opportunities for improvement and/or implement improved methods within the limits of authority; adapt to changes in responsibilities and work schedule with a positive attitude.
- Promote and follow Board of Education policies, building or department procedures, and any other rules and regulations as may be established by central building or department administration.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
Can work day‑time hours during the summer. Works between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM during the school year. The 4‑hour shift may be 3:00 PM–7:00 PM or 5:00 PM–9:00 PM, and scheduling is flexible to accommodate the employee’s needs.
Compensation and BenefitsStarting salary is $19.41 per hour plus benefits. Additional compensation is determined based on relevant experience.
Work year: 245 contract days (Custodial Calendar).
