Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices.
- Tear down, repair, replace, and/or rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
- Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels and repair manual and automatic transmissions.
- Adequately explain the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non‑mechanical individuals.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- 1‑3 years of automotive technician experience is required.
- Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment; team‑oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, electrical, engine, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, and AC equipment.
Average compensation for this position is $30 – $45 per flat rate hour.
