Maintenance Assistant

As a Maintenance Assistant at Bell Partners, your primary responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of community grounds. You will work under the direction of the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Manager to perform daily upkeep of the property, buildings, and surrounding areas.

• Maintain the grounds and outdoor areas of assigned property.
• Keep spaces outside each building and the surrounding grounds clean.
• Pick up debris around buildings, common areas, and breezeways.
• Clean building gutters.
• Plant and tend to flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs; trim, mow lawns; apply fertilizer, insecticides, and use pest control equipment.
• Follow established procedures for basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Clean and remove trash.
• Perform pool maintenance duties as needed.
• Shovel snow and spread salt on public passageways when necessary.
• Clean vacated apartments promptly, according to Maintenance Manager instructions.
• Clean common areas daily, including fitness facilities, bathrooms, laundry facilities, business center, offices, and clubhouse.
• Assist maintenance team with vacant units or other light work orders, including painting and moving appliances.
• Adhere to all safety and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.

• Minimum age 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2years of experience in groundskeeping in a multi‑family environment.
• At least 2years of experience in landscaping.
• HVAC/EPA certifications may be required depending on community staffing levels.
• Physical ability to walk, bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 80lbs.; ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment and hazardous materials; comfortable with heights and moving heavy objects.
• Understanding of and alignment with Bell Core Values.

Hourly: $18.50–$19.50. Incentive compensation opportunities are available and are performance based.
