Part-Time Custodian - 2nd Shift

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Part-Time Custodian at Genesee School District. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of school facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and scrub floors to ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, windowsills, and furniture.
• Empty trash receptacles and recycle bins, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of school events, including moving furniture and equipment as needed.
• Monitor and restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning materials.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure efficient operation and cleanliness of the school.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with students and staff.
