Maintenance Manager

Our personal care and household products include baby diapers, wipes, feminine pads, paper towels, bath tissue, adult incontinence products, laundry detergents, fabric finishers, and dishwash solutions.

We manufacture raw materials and components used in these products, including flexible print and packaging solutions. We are seeking a Maintenance Manager for our First Quality Tissue facility located in Lock Haven, PA.

• Lead and develop a safe work culture by adhering to and maintaining all safety rules, policies, and standards.
• Demonstrate core leadership skills, including accountability, credibility, and trust.
• Ensure coaching, discipline, recognition, and HR practices align with policy.
• Develop salaried and hourly maintenance personnel to ensure bench strength; conduct performance appraisals and coaching.
• Utilize and promote the CMMS system to direct maintenance personnel within the Paper Maintenance team.
• Provide leadership in the development and implementation of root cause analysis, precision maintenance techniques, preventive maintenance programs, and reliability improvements.
• Analyze operational data and equipment history to improve metrics such as unplanned downtime, PM compliance, schedule compliance, MTBF, and maintenance costs.
• Champion asset availability and reliability through predictive maintenance, planning and scheduling, and effective repair techniques.
• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs to improve skills, inspection routines, and equipment reliability; manage Controls and Mechanical Engineers to improve availability.
• Support mill reliability efforts and develop a vision for the maintenance team; interface with Production, Engineering, HR, Purchasing, Stores, and Utilities.
• Develop staffing plans and maintain maintenance budgets.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years’ experience in the maintenance field; experience in Paper Machine preferred.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a Maintenance Supervisory position.
• Strong understanding of planning and scheduling for predictive, preventive, precision, proactive, and planned maintenance.
• Strong human relations, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills focused on reliability.
