Available Shifts & Schedules

  • A shift - Monday to Thursday 5:00am‑3:30pm ($18/hour)
  • B shift - Wednesday to Saturday 5:00am‑3:30pm ($19/hour)
  • C shift - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 5:00am‑3:30pm ($18/hour)

Effective April 6: all new Material Handlers will participate in a four‑step wage progression program. Eligible employees will receive an automatic $0.50 hourly increase every 90 days over a one‑year period.

Job Purpose

To perform loading / unloading of RJW trucks and outside carriers. Ensure all shipments are properly stored in the warehouse. Pick orders from warehouse inventory as directed by customer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Loading/unloading truck/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carrier equipment.
  • Picking and moving items from 1 lb to 50 lbs or more multiple times.
  • Ensure all documentation is properly completed.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and sales to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Properly store all inbound loads in the correct warehouse location.
  • Ensure all shipments are properly marked before storing / picking.
  • Maintain the warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping.
  • Spot trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment into the warehouse.
  • Coordinate paperwork with drivers after normal dispatch operations are finished for the day.
  • General maintenance of the area surrounding the warehouse.
  • Ensure trailers are swept clean of any debris when empty.
  • Ensure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded properly.
  • Process outbound freight and cross‑dock freight as necessary.
  • Operate stand‑up reach forklifts, walk‑ie riders, and some sit‑down forklift work.
  • Follow all safety procedures at all times.
  • Build pallets and break down stock.
  • Work in a fast‑paced warehouse.
  • Other tasks as assigned by manager.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift, walk‑ie rider and/or stand‑up reach forklift.
  • Good communication, problem resolution and people skills.
  • Maintain orderly operation of the warehouse.
Qualifications
  • 6 months to 1 year forklift driving experience.
  • Certified forklift certification a plus.
  • Experience with walk‑ie rider or reach truck required.
Language Skills Sets
  • Communicate, read, write, and speak English.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
Mathematical Skills
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Compute rates, ratios, and percents and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Determine root cause of problems and corrective action.
Computer Skills

Knowledge of Business Operating Systems, Internet software, Word Processing, and Spreadsheet software.

Physical Demands
  • Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Activate phone systems using keyboards and buttons.
  • Articulate and comfortable speaking in front of others.
  • Work in an indoor environment, sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
  • Talk, hear, stand and walk frequently.
  • Work continuously for more than 8 hours when required.
  • Work under stressful situations, maintain accuracy, concentrate on more than one task at a time.
  • Read and discern visual images on various media with 20/20 corrected vision.
  • Speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
  • In sound physical health, as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of controlled substances.
Work Environment

Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. Noise level ranges from quiet to moderately loud.
