Job Description
The Maintenance Team Advisor directly oversees the performance and activities of Maintenance Technicians responsible for the routine and non‑routine maintenance activities of their designated area of the facility.

Location & ScheduleOnsite at our Logan, UT facility. 12‑hour shifts, 6pm‑6am, 7 days on / 7 days off.
Relocation BonusRelocating candidates (50+ miles) are eligible for a $10,000 relocation bonus plus a generous relocation package.
ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Team Development:
- Supervise and guide a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensuring timely and efficient completion of work orders and daily/weekly schedules.
- Promote teamwork and continuous learning within the team.
Safety & Compliance:
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and implement corrective actions as necessary to promote a culture of safety.
- Enforce health and safety protocols and ensure adherence to OSHA, PSM, FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF, and other food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, hazard‑free work environment.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Accurately track all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts usage, and downtime events.
- Use the enterprise asset management system (EAM) for scheduling, tracking, and documenting work orders and equipment history.
- Prepare KPI reports on reliability, maintenance costs, and uptime for management.
Operational Efficiency & Cost Management:
- Implement TPM, Lean Maintenance, and RCM practices to meet production targets with minimal downtime.
- Coordinate with production, sanitation, quality, and engineering teams to align maintenance activities with manufacturing schedules.
- Manage maintenance budgets, control costs, and optimize resource utilization.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency and productivity.
- Track and report KPIs on reliability, performance, equipment uptime, response time to breakdowns, shift overtime, and maintenance costs.
Technical Expertise:
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical issues within the production process.
- Maintain expertise in manufacturing equipment such as pasteurizers, homogenizers, fillers, packaging machines, and refrigeration systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on capital projects and equipment upgrades.
- Apply precision assembly, lubrication best practices, and contamination control throughout all work.
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance:
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
- Monitor equipment condition using predictive maintenance tools (PdM) to prevent breakdowns.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, interpret and communicate customer requirements, and audit procedures.
Travel Requirements:
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.
Work Authorization:
- Must have valid work authorization in the United States; sponsorship may be considered at the company’s discretion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biochemical, Biological Engineering, Industrial Arts, or a related technical field preferred; an Associate’s degree is considered.
- 1+ year of experience in industrial work.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a team environment.
- General computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and interpersonal skills for supplier‑oriented functions.
- Ability to work hours on a 12‑hour shift schedule.
