Custodian (Part Time) – Store – Logansport, IN 46947. Salary: $11.00 hourly. Shift: Day. Travel:

Objective:
To maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and staff by performing routine cleaning and tasks, ensuring the store meets health and safety standards and enhances the overall shopping experience.

• Perform daily cleaning tasks: sweeping, mopping, dusting, sanitizing surfaces throughout the facility, including restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash and recycling bins regularly and ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Maintain exterior area cleanliness – sidewalks and parking lots – free of debris.
• Respond promptly to spills or other messes to prevent safety hazards.
• Follow health and safety guidelines, using proper cleaning products and equipment.
• Report issues such as leaks, broken fixtures, or damaged flooring for repair.
• Identify and address potential hazards, such as wet floors or faulty equipment, and participate in safety training.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, vacuums, buffers) according to manufacturer instructions.
• Cooperate with store staff and management to coordinate cleaning schedules and communicate facility issues or safety concerns.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.

• Preferred:
  Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work.
• Knowledge of proper use of cleaning supplies and safety practices.
• Basic mechanical, time management, and problem-solution skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning schedules and safety protocols.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Flexible availability.
• Physical capability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that involve bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, crouching, stooping, kneeling, repetitive foot use and head/neck motions.
