(Structural Steel Fabrication Operations – Multi-Facility)
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and expand the maintenance operations for our two structural steel fabrication facilities. This individual will take ownership of our existing maintenance program and continue developing it to support the company’s long-term operational goals, equipment reliability standards, and production growth.
The ideal candidate will bring strong industrial maintenance leadership experience and a proven ability to improve systems, increase equipment uptime, implement preventive maintenance strategies, and build an organized, accountable maintenance department capable of supporting a fast‑paced fabrication environment.
This position requires a hands‑on leader who can work effectively with production, management, vendors, and maintenance personnel while driving continuous improvement across both facilities.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance Program Leadership & Development- Assume leadership of the company’s current maintenance operations and continue developing a structured, scalable maintenance program
- Improve and expand preventive and predictive maintenance procedures across both facilities
- Develop standardized maintenance processes, documentation, and reporting systems
- Establish measurable maintenance KPIs to improve equipment reliability and department performance
- Support company growth by implementing long‑term maintenance planning and equipment reliability strategies
Oversee maintenance and reliability of:
- CNC beam lines
- CNC drill lines
- Plasma cutting tables
- Press brakes
- Ironworkers
- Band saws
- Welding equipment
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Compressors and air systems
- Forklifts and material handling equipment
- Dust collection systems
- Facility electrical and mechanical systems
- Lead, train, and develop company wide staff to be accountable and responsible for equipment maintenance through example
- Establish accountability standards, work expectations, and maintenance priorities
- Coordinate closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime and maintain workflow efficiency
- Develop technician training and cross‑training initiatives
- Manage outside contractors, service providers, and equipment vendors
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of equipment failures
- Identify recurring issues and implement long‑term corrective solutions
- Improve overall equipment uptime, reliability, and maintenance response efficiency
- Develop maintenance planning strategies that align with production demands and company growth objectives
- Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance purchasing processes
- Establish organized inventory controls and critical spare parts tracking
- Assist with maintenance budgeting and cost management
- Evaluate repair‑versus‑replacement decisions based on operational impact and reliability
- Works to support Director of Risk & Safety to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards
- Works with Director of Risk & Safety to utilize lockout/tagout procedures and safe maintenance practices
- Maintain equipment inspection and preventive safety programs
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and professionalism
- Minimum 7–10 years of industrial maintenance experience in structural steel fabrication, heavy manufacturing, or related industrial environments
- Minimum 5 years in a maintenance leadership or management role
- Proven experience improving and expanding maintenance systems and programs
- Strong background in industrial equipment troubleshooting and reliability improvement
- Experience managing maintenance operations across multiple facilities preferred
