We are seeking a Facilities Technician to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who has a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally with a focus on janitorial duties. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician who is passionate about maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and will have the chance to make a significant impact on our daily operations.
Responsibilities:
As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Overseeing the cleanliness and maintenance of all facilities, including offices, production areas, and public spaces.
- Performing regular inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues, including maintenance repairs, cleaning needs, and safety hazards.
- Coordinating with management and other staff to ensure that all facilities meet health and safety standards.
- Consulting on the planning and implementation of facility improvements and expansions.
- Developing and implementing maintenance procedures and ensuring that all staff adhere to them.
- Managing inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and placing orders as necessary.
- Training facility staff on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
- Responding promptly to facility emergencies and disruptions, coordinating repairs and clean-ups as necessary.
- Consulting with management on strategic planning, resource allocation, and operational efficiency related to facility management.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally with a focus on janitorial duties.
- Proven experience in facility maintenance and cleaning in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment, as well as cleaning supplies and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a positive, can-do attitude.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items and standing or walking for extended periods.
