Part Time Maintenance

The Facilities / Maintenance Cleaning Staff works with the Manager of Facilities and other team members to provide general facilities cleaning and support to the school and church of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish. This individual is able to work independently without continuous guidance, be reliable and self-motivated, demonstrate a good work ethic, concern for quality and a pleasant and cooperative customer service focus.

As a part of our parish staff, all work and conduct should be performed in alignment with Catholic values, Parish needs and Archdiocesan requirements.

This job is anticipated to start on approximately April 5, 2025.

• Primarily in the regular cleaning and upkeep of the Church and parish offices working under the direction of the Facilities Manager.
• General maintenance and cleaning of interior and some exterior of facilities
• Potentially Set-up and take-down for church or school events, projects, ministries, etc.
• Focus on maintaining a safe physical environment, attend to occasional spill and cleanup duties
• Maintain a level of flexibility and availability for weekend or after hours shifts

This is a full time position currently expected to require approximately 30-40 hours per week. The schedule will be dependent on the needs of the Parish (church and school), and may at times require flexibility on the part of the employee. Wage is to be determined based on experience.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Practicing Catholic is preferred
• Pre-employment background screening will be required

• Prefer that candidate has some general custodial experience.
• Additional experience in general maintenance is always helpful

• This position is part time working 29 or fewer hours per week, potentially including some weekend support hours
• Hourly pay of $15 - $18 per hour depending on experience
• As a part time position this position does not include health benefits or paid time off other than paid sick time available under the parameters of the Colorado HFWA program.
