Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance
Summary
Redwire Space Solutions is looking for an Operations / Facilities Technician to join our team. The Technician will perform basic and routine facilities and equipment maintenance, construction, and repair tasks in accordance with service, quality, and safety standards, working under the direction of the Office Manager or Production Equipment Manager.
Responsibilities- Follow standard operating procedures and install, inspect, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, special test equipment, and waste management systems.
- Facilitate subcontract maintenance activities when scope is beyond the team’s repair capabilities.
- Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, fixture installation, and moving or assembly of furniture or materials within the facility.
- Collaborate with or assist trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
- Maintain preventative maintenance (PM) system, adding, modifying, and executing PM tasks.
- Perform non‑facility tasks such as assembly of production support equipment, workstations, or office arrangement support.
- Execute manufacturing assembly procedures, rework, and repair on non‑spaceflight hardware.
- Work independently within established procedures for the specific job function.
- Drive company vehicle for required supply runs or product courier duties as delegated.
- Assume any other responsibilities as assigned.
- High School Diploma.
- 2+ years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities.
- Ability to operate scissor lift and forklift; maintain required certifications.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, including no major infractions or accidents.
- Professional conduct that represents Redwire positively.
- Capability to handle moderately difficult assignments requiring judgment in problem resolution or recommendation.
- Proactive initiative and problem‑solving ability.
- Effective communication across all levels of the organization.
- Honesty, trustworthiness, reliability, and respectfulness.
- Strong organization and time‑management skills.
- First Aid and CPR training preferred.
- Service‑oriented mindset with a can‑do attitude.
Pay Range: $25.00 – $34.00 per hour.
