SummaryRedwire RF Systems is seeking a Contractor - Facilities Technician up to6 months, with the potential for full-time conversion. This position is on‑site and will be located at our facility in Longmont, CO. In this role you will support the daily operations, maintenance activities, and safety compliance of multiple company locations. This hourly role performs a wide range of facility support tasks, coordinates service activities, and helps ensure;
building systems, vendors, and workplace services operate efficiently and in line with company standards. Performs basic and routine facilities and equipment maintenance, construction, and repair tasks according to service, quality, and safety standards. This is a cross‑function roll, being able to support the production team when no active facilities maintenance is required. Works off the direction of the production manager and/or office manager.
- Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, special test equipment and waste management systems.
- Facilitates subcontract maintenance activities when scope is beyond capable repair.
- Assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures, and moving/assembly of furniture or materials within the facility.
- Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or complex repairs.
- Performs preventative maintenance (PM) and maintains electronic PM system including task addition, modification and execution. Revolving around environmental test equipment, thermal chambers, ovens, RF test equipment.
- Non‑Facilities tasks, to include assembly of production support needs, workstations, noncritical ground support equipment, office arrangement support.
- Various machine shop skills, basic understanding to use basic equipment.
- Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function.
- Able to read and understand drawings and work or build instructions.
- Drive company vehicle for required supply runs or product courier as delegated.
- Assumes all other responsibilities as assigned.
- High School Diploma
- 2+ years’ experience with additional specialized training and/or certification
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities.
- Worked in/ around clean‑room environments, ESD protocols.
- Ability to operate scissor lift and forklift and maintain certification.
- Clean driving record with no major infractions or accidents.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and think proactively.
- Able to problem solve and communicate across all levels of the organization.
