Job Summary
We are hiring immediately for a full‑time Housekeeper Lead position at Longview ISD. The role includes supervising, training, and inspecting housekeeping staff to ensure all procedures meet unit standards. The position requires 1 year of prior janitorial and/or supervisory experience and offers a fixed pay rate of $15.50 per hour.
Location & ScheduleLocation:
601 West Garfield Avenue, Longview, TX 75602 (openings at other district locations available).
Schedule:
Full‑time days and hours may vary; evening shifts common. Full and part‑time flexibility available to meet scheduling needs.
- Provides quality service to customers by giving one‑on‑one attention to detail.
- Ensures assigned staff report to work and clock in properly; documents late or absent employees.
- Resolves internal or external guest complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Documents call offs and replaces staff for any shift.
- Coordinates assigned staff breaks.
- Prepares and distributes assignment sheets to staff and reviews priorities, communicating additions or changes as they arise during the shift.
- Assigns designated keys, radios, and beepers to staff, maintaining accurate records and ensuring security.
- Checks all equipment used by staff for proper supplies, neatness, cleanliness, and mechanical problems, instructing corrections as needed.
- Inspects areas to confirm cleaning standards have been met.
- Assists staff to ensure highest standards of cleanliness and service.
- Conducts staff training as assigned.
- Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
