Your Role
Facilities Assistant is a member of the Office Services Team and is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appearance and cleanliness of a high-end office environment including common areas, meeting rooms, kitchens, pantries, etc.
What You Will DoProvide a full range of office maintenance for an office of 500+ people on 5 floors
Conference Rooms & Meeting Areas- Prepare and maintain meeting spaces throughout the day
- Ensure conference room tables, dry erase boards, and walls are clean
- Organize papers and other materials
- Chairs are pushed in/lined up
- Office supplies on hand – pens/paper are neatly arranged
- Technology components are neat and orderly, wires stowed safely
- Responsible for keeping pantries in a clean and orderly condition at all times
- Collect dishes from bus bins and load dishwashers
- Remove clean dishes from dishwasher and place back into rotation
- Ensure dishwasher is loaded and run at end of day
- Responsible for keeping assigned areas, such as reception, common areas, pantries, and restrooms in a clean and orderly condition at all times
- Greet all incoming clients/vendors and ensure they are directed to the appropriate meeting place in a timely manner
- Floor care (vacuuming, mopping, carpet spotting)
- Surface care (dusting, sanitizing, glass/mirror/window cleaning, metal/wood polishing, clean blinds and draperies)
- Waste removal (empty trash and recycle bins, transport trash and waste to proper disposal areas)
- Light maintenance (replace light bulbs, restock supply cabinet/room)
- Restroom maintenance (empty trash, restock products, clean glass/mirrors/counters and partitions)
- Minimum 2 years of direct experience in facilities and custodial maintenance
- Experience at a mid to large size company (preferred)
- Ability to multi-task in a high-paced environment
- Ability to step in to assist beyond general responsibilities
- Ability to take initiative and be proactive vs. reactive
- Ability to work full-time (7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) and additional hours as necessary
- Ability to lift 35+ lbs
