Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will serve as a key team member who will report to the Facilities Manager and will be responsible for a wide variety of general repairs and services.

• Electrical (ballasts, bulbs, parking lot lights, troubleshooting outlets, and identifying and resetting tripped breaker)
• Plumbing (general plumbing including repairing leaking faucets, replacing washers, faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment, snaking/cleaning clogged drains)
• Painting (brush and roller applications, plaster, drywall repair, interior and exterior jobs)
• Doors (metal/wood, closers, hinges, sweeps, etc.)
• Furniture (repair, drawers, adjustment, assembly)

• Moving items as needed (e.g., furniture, file cabinets, boxes, etc.)
• Delivery of office and building supplies to the correct departments and locations
• Small appliance and equipment installation
• Assist Facilities Manager and others on special projects as directed by Manager
• Responsible for the timely completion of all assigned facility work order requests
• Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned

High school diploma. Some technical / college education or a minimum of five years of work experience in facility maintenance field.

• Maintain a professional appearance and comply with all uniform requirements

• Required to stand, walk, talk, or hear, taste or smell
• Frequently required to use hands to fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• May be required to periodically carry items weighing up to 25 pounds

Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
