Job Description

ABM is seeking a reliable and motivated Day Porter/Maintenance to support facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, completing basic handyman tasks, and responding to client requests in a professional and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have prior janitorial experience, basic maintenance skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Pay: $22.50 an hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Monday – Friday 11:00am – 7:30 pm

• Perform day porter and general cleaning duties throughout the facility.
• Maintain clean and orderly common areas, restrooms, and work spaces.
• Complete basic handyman tasks, including:
  • Painting and touch-up work
  • Assembling and installing furniture, cabinets, and shelving
  • Mounting televisions, picture frames, and other fixtures
• Receive and follow work instructions from clients via email and text message.
• Respond promptly to service requests and complete assignments efficiently.
• Follow established safety procedures and workplace standards.
• Ensure all tasks are completed accurately, professionally, and on schedule.
• Maintain a positive and professional relationship with clients and building occupants.

• Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
• Minimum one (1) year of cleaning/janitorial experience preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year of basic handyman or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong attendance record.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients and supervisors.

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely use cleaning tools, equipment, and basic hand tools.

• Customer service mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
