Summary: This Millwright role is responsible for assembling and repairing equipment and machinery for the John H. Carter Co., Inc. / Control Worx, LLC (JHC/CWX) Process Pumps & Equipment business unit. Millwright activities may take place in the Geismar equipment repair facility and/or at customer sites, mostly within 100 miles.

The incumbent should strive to completely understand the needs and overall goals of both the PPE equipment repair facility and the customer. To be successful, the incumbent must interact and make a personal connection with both internal and external personnel to complete the millwright tasks and deliver quality services.

• Utilize precision millwright skills to disassemble, inspect, diagnose and repair typical petrochemical rotating equipment, including pumps, blowers, agitators, compressors, etc., in the field or at the Geismar facility.
• Assemble new rotating equipment for shipment to customers, including precision equipment assembly, coupling and motor installation, equipment alignment, guarding installation, etc.
• Field activities may include removal and/or replacement of rotating equipment, baseplate replacement, packing/mechanical seal replacement, precision alignment, etc.
• Document work scope, including all critical dimensions on as-found/as-left forms.
• Manage multiple projects with little oversight and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, on‑call, and off‑shift as required by customers and management.
• Establish strong relationships with customers and fellow employees, maintaining a positive customer service attitude.

• Associate Degree, NCCER, or Trade School in craft preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in maintenance, repair, and/or assembly of typical petrochemical rotating equipment; lesser experience considered based on background.
• In-depth, hands‑on knowledge of typical petrochemical rotating equipment including pumps, blowers, agitators, compressors, etc.

• Required: Associate degree or better in Millwright;
  High School or better.
• Preferred: In-depth, hands‑on knowledge of typical petrochemical rotating equipment; 2+ years of hands‑on experience in maintenance, repair, and/or assembly of typical petrochemical rotating equipment;
  Will consider lesser experience based on background.
