Dville Village and Riverview Apartments in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, is looking for a dedicated Groundskeeper to join our team on a part-time basis, working 20 hours per week.
Pay rate: $17.00 per hour
Schedule:
M-F, 8:00am - 1:00pm
As a Groundskeeper, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that our properties are clean, safe, and inviting. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the grounds by picking up trash, cleaning hallways, assisting with trash‑outs of vacated units, and even snow removal when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Pick up trash on the grounds and keep the area tidy.
- Clean out hallways to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Assist with snow removal to maintain safety during winter months.
- Handle trash‑outs of vacated units, which may include removing debris, furniture, and appliances, as well as performing minor repairs and painting.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Property Management team.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Less than one year of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions and communicate effectively in small groups.
- Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and solve routine problems.
- Beginner computer skills.
- Fair Housing training will be provided.
- Regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle tasks.
- Lift up to 25 pounds regularly; occasionally lift 26-100 pounds.
- Occasionally talk or hear; rarely sit, climb, or balance.
- Work outdoors year‑round in moderate noise environments.
- Occasionally work in wet or humid conditions, extreme temperatures, and near mechanical parts or airborne particles.

Make sure the grounds are free of trash. Clean and sweep up trash and handle or assist with trash‑outs of units.

- Ability to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions with common sense understanding. Ability to deal with problems that involve few variables in standardized situations.
