Field Service Technician - South East Iowa - APC

Traveling position based in or around Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan and Wisconsin

• Develop and maintain production, cleaning, and maintenance SOPs for each collection site.
• Travel to collection plants as assigned by management.
• Submit written reports after each visit and distribute them to APC leadership and site contacts.
• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment at collection sites, including electrical components, wiring, and PLC systems.
• Ensure collection plants produce quality plasma and collect samples throughout the plasma collection system.
• Act as a point of contact with site employees, promoting APC positively.
• Be available on short notice for on‑site troubleshooting and assistance at any collection site.
• Assist with construction of new collection sites and installation of new equipment at existing sites.
• Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment such as welders, hand wrenches, power tools, and cutting torches.
• Use computers and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook) as needed.
• Work daily, weekends, holidays, overtime, and call‑ins during downtime at locations as necessary.

• Travel required between 75‑100%.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 as a condition of employment, with vaccine verification required upon hire.
• Possess working knowledge of each collection site and all plasma equipment operations.
• Knowledge of and ability to follow all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements at collection sites.
• Be able to troubleshoot electrical components, wiring, and PLC systems.
• Develop good working relationships with contract carriers that transport plasma.
• Perform welding of stainless steel, work on pumps, operate reverse osmosis systems, and have general knowledge of refrigeration systems, centrifuges, and PLC controllers.
• Have basic knowledge of plumbing, metal fabrication, and carpentry.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Interpret and work from oral and written instructions; communicate effectively with APC personnel, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and other business-related contacts.
• Work independently, set priorities, determine work assignments and methods, and assist with special or ongoing projects as instructed.
• Operate office equipment such as computers, telephones, fax machines, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Remain calm and professional at all times.
• Participates in E‑Verify.

Approximate 8‑hour day with occasional long hours during peak season. Must perform tasks such as standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs or ladders, lifting weights up to 100 pounds, pushing/pulling equipment, operating a vehicle and machinery, and operating hand tools. Requires good vision, hearing, and mobility.

• Associate's, Bachelor's, or Technical/Vocational degree in Industrial Technology, Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 1‑2 years of experience in industrial maintenance preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
