Engineering Test Technician; 2nd Shift

Daikin Applied is hiring an HVAC Test Technician (Levels I–IV) to support our lab expansion in Plymouth, MN.

Plymouth, MN

Shift: 2nd shift, 2:30PM–1:00AM, Monday–Thursday (10% shift differential)

$5,000 sign‑on bonus.

• Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures and ISO
  17025.
• Conduct scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance.
• Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions.
• Maintain standards, policies, procedures and a clean work area.
• Follow EH&S safety policies and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with laboratory and project teams.
• Obtain mandatory training/certifications (fork truck, scissor lift, refrigerant handling).
• Perform test unit setup per lab procedures and test request requirements.
• Document testing activities according to laboratory procedures.
• Continuously improve laboratory activities.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and facilities.
• Provide guidance and training to other technicians (senior roles only).

• Associate’s degree in HVAC&R or related experience.
• Experience in a mechanical test lab or field service (preferred).
• Fork truck training/license, man lift training/license, universal card, or R410a card (preferred).
• Mentorship experience (preferred).

Hourly rate range: $23.65–$50.77 (Minnesota).

Work visa sponsorship is not available. The lab role includes physical duties such as lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
