Position Summary
The Breathing Air Technician is responsible for in‑house services and/or client turnarounds.
Essential Responsibilities- Monitor low‑pressure and high‑pressure breathing air.
- Ensure packs are current and not expired.
- Offer rig‑up services in an industrial environment.
- Provide routine inspection and maintenance of breathing‑air regulators and reducers.
- Receive, inspect, clean, service, reassemble, and test SCBA (Self‑Contained Breathing Apparatus) and other respiratory equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
- Complete thorough documentation of services rendered.
- Stock shelves with clean, tested, and ready‑to‑use equipment; stage and load customer orders onto trucks for delivery.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

- Operate accurately and productively to support quality.

- Ready & urgent subject‑matter leader.
- Minimum high school diploma or G.E.D.
- At least 3 years of air pack maintenance experience (6‑12 packs).
- Previous SCBA maintenance experience required.
- Electrical experience preferred.
- Minimum 23 years of age.
- No plant restrictions.
- Rig‑up experience highly preferred.
- Experience supporting safety conditions within petrochemical and/or oil and gas plant environments.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to submit to and pass drug and background screening.
- OSHA and industrial certifications preferred.
- Current TWIC card.
- Excellent reading, writing, and verbal skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability and willingness to work with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel.
- Flexibility to work long hours, including on‑call, weekends, and holidays.

- Frequently required to sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, handle, and feel; as well as talk and hear.
- Frequently required to walk, climb or balance.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to distinguish between colors.
- Must work in varied temperatures, both hot and cold.
Full‑time direct hire. Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and overtime. Overnight travel likely. On‑call availability required.
