The Village of Ackley is seeking a reliable and motivated
** Maintenance Technician I
** to join our team! This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents and staff through general facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.## Responsibilities
* Perform general maintenance and repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests
* Assist with grounds maintenance, snow removal, and landscaping
* Complete preventative maintenance tasks and maintain accurate records
* Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA standards
* Assist with equipment and furniture installation## Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Technical or trade experience preferred
* Previous maintenance experience in healthcare, assisted living, commercial, or residential settings preferred
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Must be able to lift, push, pull, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
* Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
