Job Summary
Manage, oversee, and train sanitation employees. Perform and monitor operation of all Clean in Place (CIP) systems including washer temperatures, pressures, conductivity tests, silos levels, and egg temperatures. Troubleshoot mechanical problems. Responsible for overall cleaning of the facility and grounds.

- Perform and monitor operation of all Clean in Place (CIP) systems.
- Maintain quality assurance programs.
- Ensure USDA compliance and interact with inspectors.
- Complete checklists.
- Perform sanitation employees’ duties when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA and REI safety regulations.
- Interpret company, industry, state, and federal regulations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Sweep with large push broom, kitchen broom, squeegee, or floor mop.
- Use floor cleaning and refinishing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of processing facility, grounds, break rooms, cafeterias, conference rooms, restrooms, hallways, and entrances.
- Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF system.
- Report and take action to prevent food safety and quality problems.
- Follow and enforce the Food Safety Plan, Food Quality Plan, and other SQF-related programs.
- Clean processing equipment with high pressure water and manual scrubbing.
- Perform janitorial/sanitation cleaning, disassemble and reassemble equipment.
- Complete scheduled Master Sanitation tasks in a timely manner.
- Perform self-inspection of completed work before pre-op.
- Aware of surroundings in relation to climate, atmosphere, and equipment.
- Ability to use high pressure hose and floor cleaning and refinishing equipment.
- Knowledge of basic chemical usage and safety.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Hand/Eye/Foot coordination.
- Independent self-starter and team player.
- Basic computer skills: touch screens, Excel, Word.
- Slip‑resistant boots/frocks, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets, beard nets, respirator mask, hard hat where required.
- High pressure wand and hoses.
- Large push broom, kitchen pull broom/squeegee, floor mop, high pressure wand, air hoses.
- Follow all bio‑security procedures.
- Respect customer, client, and co‑worker rights.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Adhere to work schedules for assigned tasks.
