Maintenance Planner

Brief Description

The Maintenance Planner plans, directs, coordinates and controls all stores maintenance to ensure proper safety, sanitation and mechanical functions for the stores. The Maintenance Planner work schedule includes on‑call responsibilities to address emergency store issues as well as planner store maintenance and may include evenings and weekends.

• Coordinate all maintenance work to properly maintain Ideal Market store facilities.
• Evaluate maintenance requests, set priorities and process work assignments.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day‑to‑day operations of the department.
• Respond in a timely fashion to maintenance and repair needs. May be directed to work with vendors for maintenance and repair when outsourcing is necessary.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors, employees, etc.
• Requisition necessary tools, equipment, and building and maintenance supplies under the directions of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Track all maintenance and store issues and provide a weekly report to the Maintenance Supervisor of the issues and how those issues were resolved.
• Develop and maintain a file to track and ensure updates of all warranties in effect.
• Be responsible for maintenance of store equipment and maintain a directory of repair contact information for easy reference by others.
• Meet routinely with the Maintenance Supervisor to provide updates on store‑related issues.
• Coordinate all required building inspections and provide inspection reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
