Floor Technician

We are hiring immediately for a full‑time Floor Technician position.

Location:

Manning Family Children’s - 200 Henry Clay Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70118.

Schedule:

Full‑time shift 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. Days may vary; further details during interview.

Pay Range: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour.

Floor Technician is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment.

• Maintains knowledge of principles of hard‑surface floor maintenance and uses proper procedures for stripping and refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing.
• Operates various types of industrial floor care equipment.
• Utilizes automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas.
• Applies proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface treatment, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Performs maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role preferred.
• Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 50 lbs.
