Custodian Supervisor B
Custodian Supervisor B is responsible for supervising custodian crews maintaining cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and appearance of assigned LSUHSC buildings. The position is considered an essential personnel role and must be available to respond to campus emergencies after hours and during campus closures.
The employee may be assigned to the emergency team that remains on campus or evacuates to an off‑site location during emergency events. This position may be placed on the on‑call rotation.

Qualifications: At least two years of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.
Job Duties- Supervise the cleaning of campus buildings.
- Conduct inspections of respective areas.
- Plan, give instruction on, and inspect the completion of special events.
- Process payroll timesheets weekly.
- Process leave requests daily.
- Counsel employees for outstanding and unsatisfactory job performance.
- Complete annual performance reviews based on expectations listed on the plans for the previous year.
- Manage work orders.
- Maintain building supplies inventory.
- Assist other departments as needed, including campus emergencies and work orders.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Pre‑employment requirements include drug testing, a physical exam, and a criminal background check.
Appointment type: Probationary appointment.
Compensation: $17.18 per hour, plus additional $1 longevity pay for hours worked only. Rate may be increased depending on qualifications.
Location: 1901 Perdido St., New Orleans, LA 70112.
Hours of operation: 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
