At our Franklinton site, the Maintenance team plays a critical role in supporting reliable operations, equipment performance, and operational efficiency. As a Maintenance Systems Specialist, you will help ensure our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) delivers accurate data, efficient workflows, and actionable insights that enable our teams to perform at their best.
Working closely with maintenance technicians, planners, operators, engineers, and global peers, you will contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence while supporting Novonesis' purpose through safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations.
The Role & Your Impact As a Maintenance Systems Specialist, you will serve as a key owner and administrator of the CMMS platform, ensuring system integrity, usability, and continuous optimization. This role combines operational support, technical expertise, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance effectiveness across the site. You will work across departments to strengthen preventive and predictive maintenance practices while supporting data-driven decision-making.
Key responsibilities include:
Administer and maintain CMMS data, including equipment records, work orders, preventive maintenance programs, spare parts information, and user access.
Support system users through training, troubleshooting, and ongoing guidance to ensure effective CMMS utilization.
Generate, analyze, and communicate maintenance and cost performance reports that support operational decision-making.
Identify opportunities to optimize maintenance workflows, improve data quality, and enhance system processes through continuous improvement methodologies.
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, engineering, contractors, and vendors to support maintenance planning and execution.
Drive CMMS best practices and support implementation of system enhancements, upgrades, and process improvements.
Support documentation accuracy, invoicing activities, and project handovers related to maintenance systems.
Promote safety, quality, food safety, and environmental compliance while supporting departmental goals and initiatives.
What You'll Need to Be SuccessfuLRequired Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of industrial manufacturing experience with a strong maintenance focus.
Experience working with SAP-based CMMS systems.
Strong technical aptitude and proven troubleshooting capabilities.
Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, and related systems.

Additional Skills & Interests We Value While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:
Experience applying Lean or continuous improvement methodologies in a manufacturing environment.
Experience developing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Knowledge of maintenance planning, spare parts management, and asset reliability practices.
Experience supporting CMMS optimization projects, system upgrades, or digital transformation initiatives.
Prior experience training or coaching maintenance and operations personnel.
Familiarity with food, feed, or regulated manufacturing environments.
Interest in leveraging system data to drive operational excellence and business improvements.
