The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for guestroom preventive maintenance and assisting in the repair and maintenance of hotel equipment. This role ensures all guest requests and work orders are completed in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.
Core Responsibilities- Repair & Maintenance: Perform skilled repairs including plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, painting, and light carpentry.
- Preventative Programs: Maintain the Rooms Preventative Maintenance Program and keep updated records on file.
- Safety & Emergencies: Maintain knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and the location of all emergency shut-offs.
- Facility Standards: Inspect public areas daily, maintain orderly mechanical spaces, and monitor for safety hazards.
- Specialized
Skills:
Manage swimming pool maintenance and chemical balance. - Environmental Stewardship: Support "greening" the hospitality industry through specialized knowledge and values.
- Experience: Prior maintenance experience and a thorough understanding of general repairs.
- Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift at least 25 lbs, navigate carts up to 200 lbs, and position oneself to reach high places or floor corners for an entire shift.
- Schedule: Flexibility to work all shifts and occasional overtime.
- Pay Rate: $17.00/hr.
