General Laborer

GFL Environmental is seeking a General Laborer for rental maintenance operations. In this role, you'll support the upkeep, cleaning, and basic repair of rental equipment, containers, and facility areas. Responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, performing routine inspections, pressure washing and minor maintenance, and assisting drivers and technicians in the yard. You'll follow strict safety and environmental procedures, use basic hand and power tools, and keep work areas clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning, upkeep, and basic maintenance of rental equipment and containers
• Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment around the yard or site
• Conduct routine visual inspections and report damage or safety issues
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely for minor repairs and tasks
• Assist drivers and technicians with staging, organizing, and securing equipment
• Follow all safety, environmental, and company operating procedures
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper waste disposal practices
• Document work performed and communicate with supervisors on job status
