Job Description
What’s the role As an Analyzer Maintenance Technician, you will support the safe and reliable operation of the Geismar Chemical Production Units by maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing process and safety critical analyzers, sample systems, and associated components.
Accountabilities- Execute routine preventive maintenance activities on process analyzers, sample systems, and associated equipment
- Provide reactive maintenance support through troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of analyzer equipment and systems
- Interface daily with Operations to evaluate your assigned unit’s analyzer needs and coordinate preventive maintenance and repair work
- Maintain ISO, environmental, and other site required documentation in compliance with company standards
- Work as a member of a team while also being able to work independently with minimal supervision or technical oversight
- Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis for any employer other than their current employer
- Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in process analyzer maintenance within similar or related industries
- Knowledge of and experience with at least some of the following analyzer and monitoring equipment: o Gas Chromatograph o Paramagnetic O₂ o CEMS (Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems) o TOC (Total Organic Carbon) o BTU Analyzers o Infrared Photometer o Zirconium Oxide O₂ Analyzers o TDL (Tunable Diode Laser) o pH Analyzers o Conductivity Analyzers o Dissolved Oxygen Analyzers o Aluminum Oxide Moisture Analyzers
- Must currently hold a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Willingness to comply with Shell's drug-free and harassment-free work environment, safety policies, and procedures
- Willing to climb ladders, navigate stairs, and work at heights, with or without accommodation
- Willingness to lift up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
- Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills related to analyzer equipment and systems
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently with limited supervision or technical oversight
- Required to work a 9/80 schedule and be available to work overtime as needed, including holdovers, callouts, and plant outages.
The rate for this position is $46.11-$51.56.
Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, and internal equity.
- For regular full-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs.
- Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan.
- Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 10 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
- Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance.
