We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for our Plaquemine, LA office.
Position DescriptionThe Maintenance Supervisor leads day-to-day maintenance execution, reliability improvement, and safe, compliant maintenance activities across assigned storage facilities, terminals, and related assets. This role supervises 4 to 6 direct reports; coordinates work with Pipeline Control, Gas Control, local Control Rooms, contractors, and internal stakeholders; and ensures maintenance work is planned, scheduled, documented, and completed efficiently. This position will report to the Area Manager responsible for the location.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily maintenance activities to ensure assigned assets and facilities operate safely, reliably, and efficiently.
- Supervise, coach, train, and develop direct reports while ensuring company policies, procedures, and expectations are followed.
- Coordinate maintenance work with operations, control rooms, contractors, and internal stakeholders to minimize downtime and meet business needs.
- Provide field leadership and troubleshooting support for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, rotating equipment, facility systems, controls, and related maintenance issues, including pumps, compressors, valves, air compressors and dryers, dehydration equipment, heaters, variable frequency drives, motors, emergency shutdown systems and associated PHMSA regulated end devices.
- Develop, maintain, and reinforce standardized maintenance, testing, qualification, and safety procedures aligned with company requirements and applicable codes.
- Support preventive, corrective, predictive, routine, and condition-based maintenance programs to improve reliability, compliance, and asset performance.
- Ensure work orders, equipment history, reliability data, drawings, P&IDs, one-line diagrams, compliance records, KPIs, and operational documentation are accurate and current.
- Plan, schedule, and track active work orders, backlog, outages, turnarounds, overtime, callouts, materials, contractor support, and related maintenance activities.
- Manage spare parts, requisitions, job cost estimates, budget inputs, forecasting updates, cost control, and maintenance system requirements.
- Lead safe work planning and execution, including permit awareness, lockout/tagout, live-line and live-energy work controls, management of change, process safety, environmental compliance, SIMOPS coordination, hot work permitting when required, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve maintenance practices, technical standards, training, reliability, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support emergency response, incident response, projects, upgrades, new installations, and other operational needs as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Area Manager and support BWP initiatives.
- Work closely with BWP’s Reliability Team, including Operations Engineers.
