Sophie B Wright is seeking to hire a full time custodian.
Daily Responsibilities- Properly securing all building’s doors and windows upon closing and properly coding in and out as required
- Inspect and clean all restrooms and replace supplies as needed
- Sweep inside & outside entrance ways; wet mop all inside entrance ways
- Sweep & dust mop all tile and concrete floors
- Spot mop all tile & concrete floors to remove spillage as needed
- Clean, sanitize and service all shower & locker rooms using approved cleanser to disinfect lavatories, toilets, urinals, partitions, fixtures, mirrors and soap dispensers
- Vacuum all carpet floors thoroughly and remove all spots and stains
- Dust furniture, equipment, ledges, sills, blinds and handrails
- Clean gymnasium & auditorium before and after use
- Dust all HVAC supply and return grills and spot wash walls
- Sweep, mop and disinfect the floor in the cafeteria eating area after breakfast and lunch
- Empty all waste containers and place trash in designated containers or dumpster
- Remove litter from ground and in and around exterior fence
- Clean all glass in entrance doors as required
- Report all concerns related to electrical outages, gas leaks, water leaks, HVAC malfunctions that could potentially close the facility to Facilities Director and Admin
- Turn off all lights, fans and electrical devices at the end of the school day and in all areas not being used
- At least one custodian must be on duty when students are in the building
- Remove graffiti form interior & exterior of building within 24 hours
- Be available to accept deliveries to the facility as needed
- Move furniture within the facility upon request as required
Meet daily, weekly and/or monthly with Facilities Director to review tasks and performance
We are looking for a dependable worker who can strip and wax floors, perform daily duties of sweeping, mopping, and general cleaning of restrooms, classrooms, staff offices, cafeteria dining area, school grounds, gym, and any other area needed.
