Maintenance Mechanic, Plant Operations & Maintenance

Responsibilities

Works throughout hospital, medical office buildings, and off‑site locations, which may include limited access areas such as medication rooms. Must be able to perform general maintenance of buildings and equipment. Responds to routine and emergency work orders in allotted time frames. Tasks also relate to emergency systems such as emergency generators, fire alarm systems, heating, ventilation and air‑conditioning systems, electrical distribution and electrical distribution circuits.

Performs ongoing preventive maintenance programs for assigned equipment. Must have problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. Must follow through with little supervisory guidance. Must demonstrate good time‑management skills and work well within a team environment. Must have good communication and interaction skills with staff, physicians, patients, and visitors. Workweek position is scheduled and may vary according to staffing changes and weather conditions.

Works with new employees in training of department functions.

• One year of service and maintenance of facility equipment

• Associate Degree
