Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician ensures the facilities and equipment at multiple campuses are well maintained in a way that is honoring to our Lord and to those whom we serve. This role will partner with the campuses to help achieve the mission of connecting people to Jesus and one another.

What You Will Be Doing:

* Responsible for general oversight and maintenance of building equipment; adhering to the policies, procedures, standards and practices established by SECC and as directed by the Director of Facilities.

* Consults, coordinates and assists with Blankenbaker Maintenance Team for repairs, general building and grounds maintenance. Attends regular meetings at Blankenbaker Campus.

* Coordinates and serves as liaison with contractors for building/grounds maintenance and repair.

* Conducts repairs and preventative maintenance at an advanced level.

* Generates, receives and completes work orders for all tasks, ensuring that a record of work performed is maintained using the work order system.

* Ensures that contractors work safely in accordance with all SECC policies and OSHA regulations.

* Operates shop equipment and hand tools

* Safe work habits

* Steward resources wisely

* Effectively uses discretionary time

What We Are Looking For :

* Mechanical aptitude.

* Excellent understanding of building and equipment maintenance.

* Self-starter; can work unsupervised and act independently to take approved corrective action.

* Follows directions well.

* Positive work attitude and contributes to the team dynamic in a way that honors God.

* Skilled in use of tools and power equipment.

Our Requirements:

* High School Degree (or equivalent) required.

* Experience in building maintenance. Certification preferred.

* Must have strong knowledge of electrical distribution, fire suppression, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

* Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one
