Responsibilities
The Maintenance Mechanic-DL works throughout hospital, medical office buildings, and off-site locations, which may include limited access areas including medication rooms. Must be able to perform general maintenance of buildings and equipment. Responds to routine and emergency work orders in allotted time frame. Tasks also relate to emergency systems i.e. emergency generator, fire alarm systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, electrical distribution and electrical distribution circuits.
Performs ongoing preventive maintenance programs for assigned equipment. Must have some problem solving and troubleshooting skills. Must follow through with little supervisory guidance. Must demonstrate good time management skills and work well within a team environment. Must have good communication and interaction skills with staff, physicians, patients, and visitors. Work week position is scheduled and may vary according to staffing changes and weather conditions.
Works with new employee(s) in training of department function.
- This role requires driving Norton Healthcare vehicles, which could include transporting patients and visitors. You must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record
- One year service and maintenance of facility equipment
- Driver's License
- Associate Degree
