Facilities Supervisor Louisville, KY 40207 | $25/hour | Full-Time | 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
Position Summary:
The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for the overall physical campus of Beargrass Christian Church. This role includes oversight of the facilities staff, management of cleaning and maintenance operations, coordination of repairs and improvements, and support of building operations for events and daily ministry activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and schedule facilities staff, both permanent and provisional. Prioritize and assign daily tasks efficiently for self and team. Ensure cleanliness, safety, and excellent presentation of the campus and grounds. Prepare facilities for all church events, including set-up and post-event breakdown. Oversee routine and emergency maintenance for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems. Manage purchase and inventory of cleaning supplies, tools, and property-related materials.
Maintain accurate property records and repair schedules. Evaluate the property daily for readiness and safety. Provide performance feedback and coaching to direct reports. Attend and participate in weekly staff and property committee meetings. Serve as liaison to the volunteer Property Committee.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; related certifications preferred. Experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or related field. Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to work independently. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to see the big picture and manage details effectively. Ability to climb ladders and safely use power equipment (drills, saws, lifts, scrubbers, buffers, etc.). Working knowledge of commercial floor care, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and daily interruptions. Ability to multitask and lift up to 50 lbs. Safe driving record and ability to operate campus vehicles as needed. Proficient in project management and process improvement.
