Custodian Position

Current JCPS custodians and substitute custodians who wish to submit a bid for this position must utilize the submit bid link listed below. Internal bids submitted for this position will not be considered after 08/19/2026. Working calendar: 261 days/ 8.0 hours. Salary schedule: 1B grade 2. As per board-approved  salary placement rules/schedules. Salary pay range: $16.13/hr - $19.24/hr critical need stipend $3.50 per hour.

Scope of responsibilities:
Provides efficient, quality cleaning (housekeeping) tasks district buildings following established practices, standards and methods under the direction of the supervisor.

Minimum qualifications:

High school diploma or G.E.D. Ability to perform basic commercial cleaning (housekeeping) tasks in schools and office buildings. Ability to use/operate commercial cleaning equipment. Effective communication skills.

Desirable qualifications:
Experience in a diverse workplace.
