About the Role

JFT is growing and hiring Machinists at multiple skill levels in Loveland, CO. All applicants are encouraged to apply and will be considered based on their experience level. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with an anticipated posting close date of 7/31/26.

  • Level I: 0‑2 years of experience: $22.00‑25.00 per hour
    • Basic CNC Controls, G‑code, Blueprint Reading, Mechanical Aptitude
  • Level II: 3‑5 years of experience: $26.00‑33.00 per hour
    • Haas / Mastercam Proficiency, GD&T Interpretation, Troubleshooting, Fixture Assistance
  • Level III: 6‑10 years of experience: $34.00‑42.00 per hour
    • Advanced Mastercam Programming, Multi‑Axis Machining, Advanced GD&T, Precision Measurement, Lean/CI, Problem Solving
Responsibilities
  • Perform complete setups and operations on Haas CNC mills and lathes
  • Conduct dimensional inspections using precision measurement instruments
  • Maintain accurate work order documentation and quality records
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T callouts
  • Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to learn and progress to the next level within reasonable timelines.
Requirements
  • Experience with CNC setup and operation
  • Software:
    Mastercam proficiency – editing and verifying programs very helpful
  • Equipment:
    Haas CNC experience – mills, lathes, or both
  • Technical:
    Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T
  • Detailed requirements per level discussed at interview

Physical Requirements

Strength and Stamina:
The job may involve lifting and moving parts or materials, typically up to 50lbs. The ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours) is required.

Manual Dexterity:
Precise hand movements are necessary for handling tools, making adjustments to machines and operating a computer.

Visual Acuity:
Good eyesight, including close vision and depth perception, is important for detailed work and inspecting finished parts.

Mobility:
Frequent bending, stooping, and crouching is required, along with the ability to maneuver around machinery and equipment.

Coordination:
The role requires good hand‑eye coordination to operate machines safely and effectively.

Communication:
Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with team members, customers and vendors.

Typical Working Conditions

Machine and fabrication shop environment around equipment such as water jet tables, lathes, milling machines and press brakes. Welding operations are often taking place nearby. This job requires adherence to strict safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Access to Restricted Information

This role requires immediate and routine access to restricted information under federal law. Under applicable DOE orders and client contracts, non‑U.S. citizens (including lawful permanent residents) may require an approved DOE Foreign National Visit/Assignment (FNVA) before starting work. Because this position requires immediate access, JFT cannot initiate or sponsor new FNVA processes. Hiring is contingent on the candidate's eligibility to access all required information and facilities as of the start date.
