DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position focuses on construction, repair work, grounds upkeep, and general building maintenance throughout Washington Crossing Historical Park. It involves hands‑on tasks using a wide range of tools and equipment to support daily park operations. As a Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:
- Building Repairs:
Perform basic repairs to park buildings and facilities using tools from multiple trades - Equipment Care:
Operate and assist in the cleaning and maintenance of park vehicles and equipment - Grounds Maintenance:
Carry out mowing, trimming, planting and general outdoor upkeep across the park - Cement Work:
Build simple forms, mix and place cement, and assist with stone and block wall tasks - Painting Duties:
Apply paint or stain to buildings, signs, gates and other park structures - Housekeeping Tasks:
Clean and supply park buildings and complete minor routine repairs
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal, full‑time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment March 2027.
- Work hours are 7:0 AM to 3:0 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position may require overtime and travel.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
