About the Role

Two Dudes Painting Company is looking for a Shop Manager who can run our shop independently — someone who knows their way around paint products and equipment inside and out, manages their own time well, and doesn't need to be told twice what needs to get done.

This isn't a role where you're waiting on direction. You're the one keeping the shop stocked, the equipment running, and the projects moving — while keeping safety and quality non-negotiable.

What You'll Do

Independently manage shop-related projects from start to finish, meeting timelines with minimal oversight
Maintain deep product knowledge — paints, coatings, sundries — and make informed calls on product selection for specialty jobs
Order and stock specialty paint and coatings; verify all incoming inventory
Proactively monitor and maintain shop equipment, lifts, and sprayers — catching issues before they become problems
Coordinate lift delivery and equipment readiness for field projects
Set daily production goals and keep shop operations on track
Lead by example on safety — daily hazard checks, protocol compliance, and required documentation
Serve as the go-to contact for shop-only and select field projects, including customer walkthroughs and quality control

What You Bring

Comprehensive knowledge of painting products, coatings, and equipment
Strong self-management — you can prioritize and execute without hand-holding
Experience with fine finish spray technique and spray booth equipment
Ability to safely operate and transport lifts and related equipment
A track record of following through and owning your work
