Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Installation Technician
What you will do
- Installing field devices, programming, troubleshooting, configuring and commissioning Fire Alarm Systems at commercial customer sites.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational/product manuals.
- Performing site tasks and training as described.
- Using hand tools, test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer and commissioning devices.
- Working in unusual positions (e.g., climbing ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment up to 40 ft., ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings).
- Carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 70 lbs.
- Working flexible hours including weekends and overnight travel may be required.
- Demonstrating a high level of customer service, leadership and team collaboration.
- Adhering to safety guidelines and procedures; following network concepts and architecture.
- At least 5 years documented experience in Fire Alarm Systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Texas Fire Alarm License required.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, operational product manuals.
- Experience with hand tools, test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, commissioning devices.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Physical ability to carry and move equipment up to 70 lbs and work at heights up to 40 ft.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and overnight travel.
- Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
- Basic understanding of network concepts and architecture; DOS and Windows.
- Associate’s degree in electronics, network, or computer science preferred.
- Level II certification or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred.

CompensationHourly range: $24.32 - $31.00 (based on experience, education, etc.)
