The Groundskeeper/Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean and neat community. Areas include offices, meeting rooms, clubhouse, lobbies, laundry room, common areas, and grounds. All duties are performed with the highest consideration for safety.
LocationTHE GARDENS ON TIMBERLAKE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain daily cleaning schedules for common areas, vacant apartments, policing and maintenance of grounds.
- Notify the supervisor upon completion of work and readiness for inspection to ensure compliance with Drucker + Falk standards.
- Maintain accurate records of time worked.
- Request necessary supplies through the Maintenance Superintendent/Property Manager, avoiding overstocking.
- Report any defects or deficiencies to the Maintenance Superintendent/Property Manager for repair orders.
- Maintain the highest standards of resident relations.
- Perform duties requested by the Maintenance Superintendent/Property Manager.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Job duties may be performed both inside and outside the building, in temperatures below 32°F or above 100°F.
Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentStand, walk, use hands to pick, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear frequently. Sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl commonly. Occasionally taste or smell. Frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, wet or humid conditions, high or precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration.
