Housekeeper, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Westminster-Canterbury of Lynchburg is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to support a warm, resident-centered senior living community. In this role, you will clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Responsibilities include routine and deep cleaning, trash removal, and restocking supplies while following infection-control and safety standards. You'll interact kindly with residents, respect privacy and dignity, and work as part of a supportive team committed to quality care and meaningful relationships.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to infection-control standards
• Perform daily dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal
• Restock linens, towels, paper products, and supplies on assigned units
• Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to supervisors
• Follow cleaning schedules, checklists, and community housekeeping standards
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to procedures
• Support resident moves and room turnovers with timely, thorough cleaning
• Interact courteously with residents, families, and staff, respecting privacy and dignity
• Follow all safety, infection prevention, and confidentiality policies
• Assist with special cleaning projects and seasonal deep cleans as needed
