Maintenance, Maintenance Technician ​/ Mechanic

Position Overview

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is hiring for a Maintenance and Housekeeping position at its Lynnwood, WA location. The role requires a reliable vehicle for transportation, and the organization reimburses mileage.

• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain clean, safe, and attractive center facilities, including washing furnishings, floors, and equipment; vacuuming; using cleaning solutions and disinfectants; and replenishing supplies.
• Manage yard maintenance tasks such as mowing, weeding, trimming grass; removing snow and debris from sidewalks; and keeping the building perimeter in a clean environment.
• Execute general maintenance and safety duties, reporting mechanical failures, carrying out simple repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical work, and maintaining safe work practices.
• Maintain and clean maintenance equipment (mops, buckets, vacuum cleaners, utility carts) and prepare for special tasks that may require rental machinery.
• Ensure daily upkeep of interior spaces: sweep and mop floors; vacuum carpets; dust fixtures; disinfect bathrooms; and remove bio‑hazard waste following established procedures.
• Conduct quarterly inspections of smoke alarms, exit signs, lighting, ventilation, and building security for safety compliance.
• Respond to pest concerns (ants, termites, rodents) and coordinate outside vendors as necessary.
• Manage outdoor maintenance: trim vegetation; inspect roofs and windows; clear snow and debris from sidewalks; and maintain drainage ditches.
• Assist with ordering and inventory of maintenance supplies and provide monthly updates to the site manager.

• Hourly wage of $21.30.
• Hands‑on experience with cleaning, maintenance, and basic repair tasks in a health‑care or public setting.
• Ability to work independently and report issues promptly.
• Reliable vehicle and willingness to travel to site.
• Good physical stamina to manage heavy lifting and repetitive motions.
