Night Janitor/Housekeeper at Quail Park, Lynnwood, WA
Have you always wanted a fun and rewarding job? Do you have a passion for working with seniors? We currently have an opening for a Night Janitor/Housekeeper to join our Maintenance/Housekeeping team.
Schedule:
10:30 PM–6:00 AM.
- Walk through each building at the start of your scheduled shift looking for any outstanding housekeeping tasks, non-routine items, or unknown individuals on property. Report any immediate concerns to your supervisor.
- Walk the community grounds looking for any safety concerns, unknown individuals on property, or any occurrences that may interfere with normal community operations. Report any immediate concerns to your supervisor.
- Assist in routine janitorial cleaning throughout the community such as vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, taking out the trash, and occasional special projects.
- Ensure sidewalks and roads are salted and cleared during icy or snowy weather.
- Respond to the needs of residents, families, visitors, and team members.
- Document findings of rounds in the Security Log Book, noting anything observed that was non-routine in nature.
- In coordination with a Care Partner, provide hands‑on transfer assistance on the infrequent occasion where a resident requires two‑person transfer assistance during night‑time hours.
- Answer the resident emergency call system.
- Provide back‑up assistance to community team members during building or resident emergencies including first aid and call emergency medical assistance or other urgent resident situations.
- 1 year of previous janitorial experience preferred.
- Previous experience working in a senior living community or healthcare setting preferred.
- Ability to exercise good judgment in emergency situations.
- Ability to organize and re‑prioritize to accommodate fluctuating needs of the residents and community.
- Must be able to read, comprehend, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with residents, guests and other team members.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoy working with seniors.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and pull frequently during shift.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Must meet all health‑related requirements pertaining to local and state regulatory agencies.
- Ability to maintain CPR/First Aid credentials.
