Building Systems & Utilities Maintenance Lead

You’re the go-to for building systems reliability, safety, and readiness. In this leadership role, you’ll coordinate maintenance operations, coach a high-performing team, and ensure our facilities run to spec—every shift, every weekend.

Work Schedule4-10 hour shifts
- Thursday and Friday - 10:00pm to 8:30am
- Saturday and Sunday - 6:00pm - 4:30amYour Impact Lead and coordinate facility maintenance activities, from structural repairs to equipment upkeep, to sustain optimal service levels.

Design, launch, and manage preventive maintenance programs for both new and in-service equipment.

Direct custodial operations to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment.

Manage spare parts inventories to reduce downtime and keep critical assets available.

Advance safe work practices; verify climate control performance and OSHA compliance.

Collaborate via cross-functional teams and build strong relationships across departments.

Maintain hazardous materials logs; validate evacuation procedures are current and effective.

Drive a Safety Culture by engaging associates and leveraging assessment tools to mitigate risk.

Model and promote MSC Culture; perform MSC Manager responsibilities (hiring, termination, performance reviews, associate development).Contribute to annual operating and capital budgeting for facility equipment.

Perform hands-on pest removal and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting when needed.

Adapt to business demands—team members may be temporarily reassigned to other warehouse functions.

Support special projects and handle additional duties as assigned.

What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years of relevant, hands-on maintenance experience.

Basic computer proficiency.

Deep knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, starters, and switch gears.

Mechanical strength across bearings, shafts, speed reducers, sprinkler systems, and similar equipment.

HVAC knowledge and a thorough command of OSHA regulations.

Clear verbal and written communication; ability to convey technical guidance to the team.

Flexibility to support a variable schedule and on-call needs.

Physical Requirements Bend to access floor- and rack-level items.

Lift 25–50 lbs.

Operate at heights up to 50 feet.

Stand for long durations.

Additional Available for 24/7 on-call support.

May require a valid state driver’s license.
